When Roxy Music began recording their first album in 1971, they created something that was identified as Art Rock. By the end of the decade, with the charismatic Bryan Ferry, Phil Manzanera and Andy McKay they had also mastered a soulful dance sound that when added to the mix can be seen and heard here on great versions of In Every Dream Home a Heartache, Love is the Drug and Virginia Plain.
